Analysis of Safety Risks and Control Measures of Filling Machines


Filling machines are mainly a small branch of packaging machines, which can be divided into liquid filling machines, paste filling machines, powder filling machines, and particle filling machines from the perspective of packaging materials. From the degree of automatic production, it can be divided into semi-automatic filling machines and full-automatic filling production lines. Recently, with the QS certification of food, edible oil manufacturers have begun to pay attention to product quality and packaging, so oil filling machines play a prominent role in filling machines.

According to the filling principle, filling machines can be divided into normal pressure filling machines, pressure filling machines, liquid filling machines, oil filling machines, paste filling machines, sauce filling machines, particle slurry filling machines, powder filling machines, vat water filling machines and vacuum filling machines.

Risk analysis of filling machines
Fire and explosion:
1. When filling the mixed solution of combustible solvent, the solution flows into the filling machine from the high standing tank. If the flow rate is too fast, static electricity may be generated, and the combustible gas formed by mixing the volatile gas of the solution with oxygen will reach the explosion limit. Fire and explosion accidents may occur in case of an open flame.
 
2. When the mixed solution of combustible solvent is filled, if the bottle body is broken and leaked, the leaked solution may cause fire and explosion accidents when exposed to an open flame.

3. Electric sparks may occur when using non-explosion-proof electrical equipment in the explosive hazardous area, and fire and explosion accidents may occur when the mixed solution of combustible solvents leaks.

Electric shock:
1. The power supply of the filling machine is not provided with protective grounding or zero lines, or the connection is poor, which may lead to electric shock accidents when the electrical fault occurs.
2. Short-circuit, open circuit, and exposure of the power cord and control line of the filling machine motor may lead to electric shock accidents.

Poisoning and suffocation:
When the mixed solution of toxic solvents (such as toluene and xylene) is filled if the bottle body is broken and leaks, it may cause operators to be poisoned and suffocated.

Control measures
Fire and explosion:
1. Control the conveying speed of solvent, and ground the filling machine to ensure that the static electricity generated can be removed in time.

2. Install combustible gas detection device; open flames are prohibited; use explosion-proof electricity; personnel wears anti-static overalls; personnel wears protective masks; adjust the filling speed properly.

3. Use explosion-proof electrical equipment that meets the requirements and keep it in good condition.

Electric shock:
1. The filling machine shall be provided with protective grounding or zero connection and shall be inspected and maintained regularly.

2. Replace aging lines of filling machines in time and strengthen the maintenance of electrical equipment and facilities.
 
Poisoning and suffocation:
1. Install detection device of toxic gas.
2. Personnel wear protective masks.
3. Adjust the filling speed properly, and strictly observe the safety operation procedures.
